Led Primary Series – Intermediate @ Studio Ganesha

In a First Series Ashtanga class I will guide you through the 63 poses of the traditional practice. It’s fast paced and very challenging.

The class begins with the first two Sun Salutations and the standing poses.

The first (Primary) series emphasizes floor work involving mostly twists, hip openers and forward folds. There are many poses in the First Series whose full expression requires years of effort for most practitioners.

This class is accessible to students of yoga who have some experience with Vinyasa yoga.

The class concludes with backbends and the finishing postures (headstand and shoulder stand).
